Read paragraph 13 and you'll find out how crafty they really are! First, they use the word not all the 144,000 were selected in the first century. How do they really know that? Then they use ''apparently'' slowed down. How do they know that? Finally, they use the words ''it did'' continue into the modern times. There you have it! The calling started, slowed down, and than continued. GREAT JOB V!

Nepotism and bias runs in my congregation. We have 4 Elders who are all related. The oldest Elder recommended his son and son-in-law for Eldership years ago and all were chosen. Now his granddaughter's husband has just been chosen.( So much for the holy sprit doing the choosing!)
Were Elders in your congregation biased as to who would be recommended for Eldership? Were you or anyone in your family passed up because of nepotism or bias?

Q9) What should we bear in mind when sharing Scriptural information?
9) Most truths contained in God's Word are in themselves relatively simple. It may be, though, that people with whom we study the Bible have been confused by the doctrines of false religion. Our role as teachers is to make the Bible easy to understand. Effective teachers convey information simply, clearly, and accurately. If we follow this guideline, we will not make the truth more complicated than it needs to be. Avoid unnecessary details. There is no need to comment on every aspect of a scripture that we read. Simply focus on what is essential to clarifying the point under consideration. The student will come to appreciate deeper Scriptural truths as he progresses in his understanding.-Heb. 5:13,14.

Great work! And I thought only Mary had all the venom for the WTS.
Notice what they say in paragraph 9 about how God's word is simple and easy to understand.Follow the link and see what the WTS really teach. These are the strange beliefs they teach at : http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/2919/reasons.html

A hall where the elders sit up front to make it look like "somebody" is willing to sit up
there winds up with big distractions because elders get up from their seats more than
regular members. They are bored with the indoctrination so they find elder stuff to do.
After all, they don't have to look attentive so that they might get appointed, they are
already appointed. The Elders in my congregation are always walking in the back and holding meetings while everyone else has to sit thru the boring meetings. They distract more people than all the late walk-ins.
We have been told numerous times to sit up front in the middle rows. It works for a week or so than everyone scatters back to their own seats. That's why I came up with my name ''RULES AND REGULATIONS.'' They load up on rules that have nothing to do about the Bible.

Do you know the real reason why they stopped serving the deli sandwhich's,shasta soda, pudding, and the fresh bags of fruit? Did they need a vendor license? Was refridgeration a problem with health inspectors?

This is a picture of a new ''Faithful and Discreet Slave'' member named I.M. Anerd giving a convention talk in Uganda,Africa. He's being lovebombed because of his special talk titled,''You walked across alligator infested waters while I flew 12 long hours on a Lear Jet to get to this convention."
The applause was non-stop after the lengthy talk about how he traveled on a 12 hour plane ride from New York eating only pretzels and peanuts. Also, they enjoyed the experience where he was driven in a limo with no air-conditioning while wearing a suit and tie.
''Brothers, please remember when you are walking 20 miles across rocky mountains, barefoot, with snake and alligator infested waters''..........''that we too suffered trying to get to this spiritual banquet. We always make sure that your zeal and experiences will be never forgotten ."

What is the HIDDEN purpose of the Watchtower corporation?
by Terry inwhy does the average man or woman on the street only have a vague awareness of who jehovah's witnesses are and what they stand for?
isn't it weird they know next to nothing after over a hundred years of door to door work???.
ask yourself why this has been such an ineffective ministry.. one actor, tom cruise, has raised more awareness about his own religion (scientology) than all the watchtower magazines placed at a million households.

Watchtower rank-and-file members are used as volunteer labor staying very busy appearing to be doing something important.
What they are really doing is generating publicity which serves to hide the actual purpose of the Watchtower corporation.
What is the genuine purpose of the Watchtower corporation?
POWER INVESTMENT!
REAL ESTATE!

One of the best posts on JWD!
The WTS are just a group of power hungry men in New York. They have everything available to them from health care, automobiles,a roof over their heads, all utilities paid for,and travel all over the world.........all in the name of religion.
The WTS send out Circuit and District Overseers to local congregations(that are paid by local members) to instruct every rule and regulation to all local Elders. The Elders take these instructions and pass them on to every member. Elders teach the congregations and handle all the discipline. Make sure everyone is kept busy and fears the organization.
Also, WTS prints repetitive material on cheap paper. Save money where you can.Print the same material over and over. Make sure that everyone has their own copy. Send out every member(who are not paid) out in service and make sure that the general public buys these books and magazines.Send money to the WTS. Then the WTS higher ups can travel to exotic locations(all expenses paid) all in the name of religion.

MARY:
Thank you for always exposing these old men in New York for what they really are! You're the only one on JWD that's kicks them where it hurts. Everyone here is too kind to these old and washed up men who's motto you said so eloquently:
You’re all a bunch of slackers and you need to do more, more more!!!
13) Other difficulties that many have to contend with are advancing age and poor health , which may limit what they can reasonably do in the preaching work. If that is true of you, do not be discouraged. Jehovah is well aware of your limitations and appreciates what you can do. (Read 2 Corinthians 8:12.) Whatever kind of adversity you may be facing — opposition, apathy, or ill health-do all that your circumstances allow you to do in sharing the good news with others.-Prov. 3: 27; compare Mark 12:41-44.
Someone in my mom's congregation has been told that he has cancer. He is on his 2nd treatment and is sick as a dog. Lost all his hair, doesn't eat as much because food don't taste the same, sleeping more and very depressed.
My mom told me that he is now telephone witnessing since is too sick to go out. WOW! Here this person is only worried about his health and beating cancer and the only thing the WTS worry about is if he made at least 2 hours in field service.

What if regular meeting attendance wasn't a requirement?
by R.F. inwe all know how regular meeting attendance is the ultimate way of measuring the "faith" of those among the religion, other than field service reports.
what do you think would happen with the attendance numbers if you were only encouraged to go as a sort of option, if you weren't hounded for not attending regularly?
